The MSW are based on a 1-min averaging period, which is used by all U.S. civilian and military weather services for tropical cyclone warnings. From the beginning position through 22/1800 UTC, the information is based upon operational warnings issued by the Fiji Meteorological Service. The information from 23/0000 UTC through 25/0000 UTC is based upon marine warnings issued by Brisbane and Sydney (as indicated in the Remarks column).
